Ingredients
- 1 cup urad dal chilka
- 1-1/2 cup basmati rice
- to taste Salt
- For Tadka
- 2 tsp Finely chopped ginger
- 2 Finely chopped onions
- 1 pinch Hing
- 1 tsp Jeera
- To taste Dried red chillies
- as needed Ghee
Steps
- Wash and soak dal and rice separately for around 30minutes.Now put dal and rice in a pressure cooker, add salt and water as needed.
- Now pressure cook for around 2 whistles.
- For Tadka-- take a pan, add ghee to it, add hing and jeera and dried red chilli. When it splutter add onions, ginger. Cook and pour over the khichdi.
- Add ghee on it and serve with papad and curd and salad.
