Moong dal and vegetable idly Recipe - Tenali Double Horse



Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup green moong dal
  2. 1/2 cup grated carrot
  3. 1/4 cup grated cabbage
  4. 1/4 cup urad dal
  5. 1/2 tbsp fenugreek seeds(methi dana)
  6. 1/2 tbsp ginger green chilli paste
  7. 2 tbsp finely Chopped Coriander
  8. to taste Salt

Steps:


  1. Combine the green moong dal, urad dal and fenugreek seeds in a deep bowl and keep a side To soke in enough water for 2hours. Drain well.

     
      Blend the green moong dal, urad dal and fenugreek seeds in a mixer along with approx. 1cup of water till smooth.
  2.   
      Transfer the mixer into a deep bowl add the salt and mix well. Cover with a lid and keep a side to ferment for 4 hours.
  3.   
      Once fermented, add the ginger green chilli peste, carrot, cabbage, and coriander and mix well.
  4.   
      Pour spoonfuls of the better Into greased idli moulds and steam in a steamer for 12minuts.
  5.   
      Cool slightly and demould. Serve immediately with sambhar.
