Dal khaman Recipe - Tenali Double Horse



Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup chana dal
  2. 1/2 urad dal
  3. 3 tsp sour curd
  4. 2 tsp green chillies and ginger paste
  5. 1 tsp baking soda
  6. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  7. to taste Salt
  8. as required Coriander leaves, jeera,oil for tempering

Steps :

  1. First we soak both dal separately in vessel for 4to5 hours, then drain and grind both,mix well add sour curd and mix well leave it in a clean place for about 12 hours
     Now batter is ready,then season the batter with salt,chilli, ginger paste,and turmeric, mix well,then we add baking soda in little oil and mix with the batter

  2.  Now heat steamer,meanwhile grease a plate with oil and pour batter,steam 20 minutes,
  3. Now tempering,with jeera,and garnish with chopped coriander leaves, serve with tomato sauce or chutney
